The Rapid Division was a motorized Slovak division fighting on the Eastern Front on the side of the Axis troops. TThe Slovak Rapid Division was a 7,000-strong division of the Slovak Republic that was formed on 8 July 1941 for Operation Barbarossa. The division was later reorganized into the 1st Infantry Division and the 1st Technical Division after the retreat from the Caucasus.
