Two versions of Lebenszeichen are now available in our collection. The green "Lebenszeichen" card was used through the German Feldpost system, allowing soldiers to reassure their families with a simple sign of life. Red civilian version, intended for use outside the military postal system during periods when normal correspondence was difficult or restricted.
