The German „Feldmütze M34“ field cap, commonly known as the “Schiffchen” (side cap), was introduced in 1934 as a lightweight and practical headgear for Wehrmacht troops. Made from wool in field-grey it featured a simple foldable design without a visor, making it easy to carry in the field. The front displayed national insignia, typically an eagle and cockade.
