The Rapid Division was a motorized Slovak division fighting on the Eastern Front on the side of the Axis troops. TThe Slovak Rapid Division was a 7,000-strong division of the Slovak Republic that was formed on 8 July 1941 for Operation Barbarossa.
The division was later reorganized into the 1st Infantry Division and the 1st Technical Division after the retreat from the Caucasus.
Constructed of silvered metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, topped by a Slovak national eagle clutching a fasces, joined together at the bottom by dates “1943-1944”, with a central depiction of the Crimean Peninsula, bearing an inscription of KRIM, unmarked.
