These terms explain how to order from Verlag Kopf and what you can expect from us. Please also read our Shipping & Payment, Returns & Complaints and Privacy Policy.
1. Who you are buying from
Verlag Kopf is operated by Kopf Solutions, s. r. o., Hlaváčiková 14, 841 05 Bratislava, Slovakia. Company ID (IČO): 52899136; tax ID (DIČ): 2121244730; VAT ID: SK2121244730. We are a Slovak VAT payer registered under Section 4 of the VAT Act. Commercial Register, section Sro, entry 144848/B.

2. Products and historical reproductions
Our range includes reproductions, original collectibles and individually commissioned work. Each listing identifies the item and describes its materials, dimensions, condition and intended use. Photographs of handmade reproductions are representative; minor variations may occur without changing the agreed characteristics. Original collectibles are individually described. A historical appearance does not imply that an item is suitable for modern medical, protective or operational use.
3. Orders and payment
You can shop without creating an account. Before submitting, check the products, quantities, delivery details, payment method and total. The final order button makes clear that the order carries an obligation to pay. The purchase contract is concluded when we email our acceptance of your order. A payment-provider receipt alone is not our acceptance. If an item cannot be supplied, we will contact you to agree a solution and refund any payment for goods we cannot supply.
Available payment methods and delivery options are shown at checkout. We normally start preparation after payment. An invoice or payment request does not itself confirm that payment has been received. Tax documents are supplied electronically; a paper invoice is not routinely included in the parcel.
4. Prices, VAT and international orders
Prices are in euros. The applicable VAT and delivery cost are calculated for the selected destination and shown before you submit the order. EU consumer orders include the applicable VAT. Eligible cross-border EU business supplies may be invoiced without VAT only when the legal requirements are met; entering a company name alone does not create an exemption. Non-EU exports may qualify for VAT exemption. Import taxes, customs duties and clearance charges imposed by the destination country may be payable by the recipient and are not included unless expressly stated.
5. Preparation and delivery
In-stock orders are normally dispatched within 3–7 working days after payment. Made-to-order products generally require around 30 days, or the period stated on the product page and agreed for your order. Preparation time is separate from carrier transit time. We will contact you about a material delay; a revised deadline requires agreement. Unless another delivery period has been agreed, the statutory delivery rules apply.
Where tracking is provided, we email the available tracking details after dispatch. Please contact us about address changes as early as possible. We remain your contact for delivery problems. Statutory consumer rights concerning delivery and transport risk remain unaffected.
6. Returns, defects and cancellations
Consumers may normally withdraw from an online goods purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods. Please see Returns & Complaints for the procedure, exceptions, return costs and refunds. You can withdraw online here. Statutory rights concerning defective goods are separate from withdrawal without a reason. These consumer rights do not automatically apply to purchases made in the course of business.
7. Accounts, discounts, credits and reviews
An account is optional and allows access to order history and available account features. Keep login details secure. Coupon conditions are shown with the offer; eligibility and the final discount are displayed at checkout. Credits are promotional benefits unless explicitly described as purchased monetary value. They have no cash redemption value and must not reduce any statutory refund owed to you.
Eligible account holders can review products from their purchases. A review may earn the stated credit reward regardless of whether its rating is positive or negative. Rewarded reviews must be identified as such when published. We may remove unlawful, abusive or unrelated content, but do not require a positive rating.
8. Questions and dispute resolution
Please first contact info@verlagkopf.com with your order details. If a consumer request for redress is rejected or remains unanswered for 30 days, the consumer may apply to a competent alternative dispute-resolution body, subject to the statutory conditions. Information and contact details are available from the Slovak Trade Inspection. The former EU ODR platform is no longer operational.
9. Applicable law and versions
The contract is governed by Slovak law. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections applicable in their country of habitual residence. These terms apply to new contracts accepted under this published version; later amendments do not retrospectively alter earlier contracts. Mandatory rights take precedence over any inconsistent wording.
10. Copyright and our creative work
Many Verlag Kopf products are newly created reconstructions of historical material, developed through our own graphic design, redrawing, typesetting, illustration and other creative work. Our original creative contributions, product photographs, texts and videos are protected to the extent provided by copyright and other applicable intellectual-property law. Kopf Solutions, s. r. o. reserves the rights it owns or is authorised to exercise.
Except where permitted by law or expressly licensed, you must obtain our prior written permission before copying, scanning, tracing, digitising, reproducing, distributing, uploading, republishing or commercially exploiting this protected material, in whole or in part. In particular, buying a physical product does not grant permission to reproduce its protected artwork or make scans, print-ready files or other copies available online or to third parties. Attribution alone does not replace permission.
This reservation applies to our protected creative contributions; it does not assert exclusive rights over historical facts, ideas or historical source material in the public domain. Statutory exceptions and limitations, including lawful quotation and permitted private use, remain unaffected. It does not prevent ordinary use of a purchased product for its intended purpose or lawful resale of the physical item where applicable.
