What we use and why
- Orders and enquiries: identity, contact, address and order details to respond, fulfil the contract and handle delivery or returns.
- Accounting: billing and transaction records to meet legal obligations.
- Accounts: login credentials, preferences, orders, credits and submitted reviews to provide requested features. Passwords are stored as hashes.
- Security: IP addresses, access and error records to prevent abuse and diagnose failures, based on legitimate interests.
- Marketing: newsletter preferences and consent records. Optional marketing consent is separate from ordering and may be withdrawn.
- Cart reminders: cart and contact details where permitted by electronic-marketing rules; you can object or unsubscribe.
Service providers and external services
Data needed for fulfilment may be received by hosting and IT providers, payment providers selected at checkout (including Stripe or PayPal), the chosen carrier, accounting providers and legally authorised bodies. They receive information appropriate to their role. We do not sell customer data.
Social-media links, externally hosted video thumbnails and activated YouTube videos connect to external providers, which process data under their own notices. Where data are transferred outside the EEA, applicable safeguards or an adequacy decision are required; information about relevant safeguards can be requested from us.
Retention
Accounting documents are generally retained for the statutory ten-year period calculated under accounting rules. Other order and claim records are retained as needed for performance and legal claims. Account data remain while the account is maintained, subject to legal retention duties. Marketing records remain until withdrawal or objection, with necessary suppression records retained to honour that choice. Security records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for protection or an investigated incident. Contact us for the period relevant to a particular record.
Cookies and embedded content
Session and security storage supports essential shop functions. Optional analytics or advertising storage requires consent where applicable. Refusing optional tracking must not prevent a purchase. Activating an external video may disclose your IP address and browser information to the video provider; a link is also provided so you can choose to open it externally.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability; object to legitimate-interest processing or direct marketing; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful use. Some records must remain to meet legal duties. We do not use solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. You may complain to the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection. Order details necessary for fulfilment must be provided to complete a purchase; marketing consent is optional.
