The British 24 HOUR RATION
Category: US rations
Item #1030
The British 24 HOUR RATION was introduced after the invasion of North Africa and replaced the previous assault ration of the British Army the Mess Tin Ration (48 Hour), which was find too heavy and bulky (almost everything in this ration was in cans/tins) for the nutritional value it has provided to the soldiers, thus the Army has started developing a new, lightweight and nutritionally high effective ration – the result was the 24 HOUR RATION, which we have reproduced for you lads!
Our ration follows the specifications of the original thing, with a few amendments to make it more “store-able” – it means we have sealed the biscuits in transparent cellophane for example.
The composition of our repro ration is the following:
1. Content and instructions leaflet – not edible, but very important part of the ration, read the instructions carefully, there are cool tips how to prepare hot meals of the contents, this will help you to enjoy your ration to its maximal extend.
2. MEAT (Dehydrated shredded salted beef) – sealed in cardboard box and transparent cellophane.
3. OATMEAL – 2pcs, both sealed in transparent cellophane.
4. TEA – 4pcs of tea “cubes” wrapped together and sealed in transparent cellophane, each cube containing English breakfast tea, dehydrated milk and sugar.
5. BISCUITS – 2packs each containing 5 biscuits of neutral flavor (you can eat them sweet of salted, based on the meal you’ll use them for).
6. CHOCOLATE – 3 slabs of chocolate, wrapped in aluminum foil and white glassine paper.
7. BOILED SWEETS – approximately 15pcs of lemon and orange flavored hard candy.
8. CHEWING GUM – 2 packs sealed in transparent cellophane, each containing 4 sugar coated chewing gums.
9. MEAT EXTRACT CUBES – 3pcs.
10. SUGAR CUBES – 4pcs
11. SALT – 1pack
All these components neatly packed in a cardboard 2piece outer box, sealed with a white textile tape and wax coated for water and gas proofing.
For the King!
Sold for display use.
