U.S. ARMY FIELD RATION K (without meat) DINNER MENU 3

In 1943 the U.S. Army developed a ration that would feed ten men for one day - the so called 10 in 1 ration. The ration was packed on a "five rations" basis, so that a small group of five man could use it for two days, or alternatively ten men for one day.

This ration provided 3 meals: breakfast and supper were supposed to be consumed on a "group" basis, the components were packed in larger cans/boxes and often required some level of cooking, on the other hand the dinner came in handy prepacked units for individuals like a simplified K Ration (the canned products were separate). This is what we are offering here - the dinner "part" of the 10 in 1 ration. More precisely this is the U.S. ARMY FIELD RATION K (without meat) DINNER MENU 3 - introduced in 1943 (later in 1944 it was renamed to “Partial dinner Unit”). Containing 2 packs of biscuits (baked by our confectioner), soluble coffee, 2oz Chocolate bar, 4 lumps of sugar and a stick of chewing gum.
